First of all, many thanks to John D. Johnson and Allen Scott
for saving an important American Classic from extinction. What
American classic you might ask? I'm speaking of the "Old
Southern White" or "Olde English Bulldogge" of "Little House on
the Prairie" fame which is now known as the American Bulldog.
American Bulldogs are a very dependable working breed that
pioneers, farmers, and cattlemen relied upon for for the most
grueling of tasks, from rounding up cattle, to catching and
holding wild boars, out of control bulls, and fighting off
bears, Wolves, and Coyotes.
This dog by nature is loyal, obedient, and very even
tempered, but very energetic and will fight to the death to
defend his owner.
Today, the American Bulldog is the ideal family companion,
playful, loving, and gentle towards puppies and children, but
also valiant protector of home and property. Just the very sight
of an American Bulldog coming at them in full stride will strike
fear and terror into the hearts of the most hardened of
criminals. They read body language very well, and know when a
stranger has bad intentions.
Unfortunately, we are bombarded daily with reports of
violence against women and children. This is a sad commentary on
the state of the nation. Personally I believe that every adult
should own a gun and know how to use one. Unfortunately, most
fathers have neglected their duty to teach their sons and
daughters how to defend themselves.
For the defenseless among us, the American Bulldog is the
perfect fully automatic weapon. For the rest of us, they are the
most loving and even tempered dogs I personally have ever had
the privilege to own.
Their love for human attention and desire for affection knows
no boundaries. Their loyalty and playfulness is much like that
of a Labrador Retriever, yet their brute strength is typically
greater than most breeds twice their size. In my opinion, they
are easy to train, love to do tricks, and adore little children.
Just ask the "Little Rascals"!
- Nobody should ever mistake an American Bulldog for the
American Pit Bull Terrier.
We believe that every American citizen has full private
property rights. However, due to the spike of illegal dog
fighting in recent days, we at S.A.S. American Bulldogs reserve
the right to refuse to do business with anybody we suspect of
dog fighting or other such illegal activities. Neither will we
provide stud service to any Scott American Bulldog, Pit Bull
Terriers, or hybrids of any kind.
